Articles & Columns
We might need some to fill space when we start to release issues (which hopefully will happen really soon).
I think we could talk about games and other media forms, not necessarily Japanese but always related to anime and internet culture (it makes sense in the context, methinks). Good thing: we have several writers to work on that which makes this the easiest part of the whole business.
Post your ideas for columns and articles, and get ready to be assigned to do them if vox populi say so.

Re: Articles & Columns
I particularly liked the "Interviews" idea. We could try and get in touch with authors, editors and voice actors and that is just the kind of thing that brings the attention of the public to us.

Think they'll do it for free?
As in, PR-free.
Big shots interviews are (probably) only possible when they feel like answering.
No hating here, bro.

Re: Articles & Columns
We could start with minor pseudo-celebrities who are always searching for free exposure such as American voice actors and stuff.
Acting nice and saying "we are a nonprofit fanzine" might help with those.

I think I know what you mean, someone like Mark Crilley (an american mangaka, mostly famous on youtube and has a series published and is about to publish more)

That kind of guy would probably give us a free interview and maybe even submit something for the magazine, which would result in exposure for everyone. Great success.

Only if I get to do it face to face, where I'll be able to proudly say "Oh darn, it's not Kubo!".kuchinashi wrote:Can we interview Nick Simmons? (trollface.jpg)

Calender and review section
Pretty standard, stick in a calender that the target audience would appreciate, and some reviews on related stuff.

Despite the cheesy lines and the bad art, I don't hate MegaTokyo.

I actually do think interviewing Nick Simmons would be a good idea à la Wayne's World. Highly unlikely he'd allow a free interview, however.
Was only partly joking about Megatokyo. In all honestly they'd be good to interview too.
